Hi, recently I took the Sitecore Certification, and on this post, I will share my experience on the subject
Courses: Sitecore provides some courses that can help your team to familiarize with Sitecore since I’m a developer, I took the developers path

Sitecore® Developer Foundations eLearning: This course provides a general overview of Sitecore, and the course is free, so, it can be also watched by other team members. I strongly recommend this course for anyone who works with the platform, even though they are not developers.
Sitecore® Experience Solution Developer eLearning: This is a paid course and focused on the necessity of a developer. If the developer doesn’t hold any knowledge of Sitecore this course will definitely put him on the right path. The course covers a scenario of a development of a website. If the developer had previous Sitecore knowledge, the course will give him a better of new features

Certification :
As any Certification is a way to measure the skill of the professional and brings all the benefits that this can bring with.
There are also some benefits just for Sitecore Certified Professional, like opening tickets directly to Sitecore and a variety of Downloads.
Preparing for the certification test:
The main question that was asked to me was: “Is the course enough for Certification”? well, I don’t believe it is, some experience would help a lot, so if you never worked with Sitecore before, consider getting some experience prior to the test.
Well, despite that, I would definitely recommend some steps:
- Extract the questions: Every module has questions and answers extract all the questions.
- Create a quiz (https://quizlet.com) (https://testmoz.com): There are some free tools available. Try to create some questions and answers, and see how would you perform.
- Sitecore documentation: Expend some time reading the Sitecore documentation ((https://doc.sitecore.net ), this will give you a better understanding of the tool(and add try to extract questions from the documentation)
- Study Guide: Sitecore provides an excellent study Guide, read it carefully(https://sitecore.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/16000052389-sitecore-professional-developer-certification-exam-study-guide)
Online Test:
The test can be done from anyplace that has access to a good internet, by saying that, never do the test using the WIFI, you will be streaming your video so, don’t forget this important detail. An external camera is also required and must be positioned according to the instructions.
